tnla dEMONSTRATION gARDEN, HUMMINGBIRD AND A RABBIT  IF YOU LOOK CLOSELY

CROTON AND COLEUS 'TRAILING WEDDING TRAIN'
This was my favorite foliage display in the entire garden. The bed had a tidy and tiered quality. The colors were so appealing as the dappled light danced through the trees heralding the autumn equinox in a subtle ballet. Each variety enhancing the other while allowing the plants to exhibit their own strength of form.

SHAKESPEARE, BRONZE SCULPTURE BY GARY LEE PRICE I don't recall seeing this wonderful sculpture. A brass plate identifies it as a gift to the garden. Are they going to have a Shakespeare themed garden like that at Northwestern University in the Chicago area? What I liked about this display is the bronze against the mottled latte and stone crape myrtle tree trunks and the pink rose accent.

VERBENA BONARIENSIS FINESSE AND GOLDSTURM BLACK-EYED SUSAN RUDBECKIA FULGIDA SULLIVANTII 'GOLDSTURM

Datura is one of those plants that has a form that looks best with a strong backdrop and frontal support.  Every time I visit the garden I find new ideas and solutions.

BLACK SWALLOWTAIL ON PINK PENTA

SALVIA MANNEQUIN BLUE MOUNTAIN AND FAN FLOWER SCAEVOLA AEMULA SURDIVAVA FASHION PINK.
