CREATING vibrant SHADES of vermilion

Known commonly as Mexican sunflower or red sunflower (Tithonia roundifolia) attracts hummingbirds, butterflies, and bees.

About four foot tall and branching, the Tithonia fancies a good trimming after the blooms fade. If I do this once a week there is a continual show of scarlet vermilion flowers. The Tithonia prefers full sun and tolerates dry conditions.
