Pink Your Garden

___________________________________________________
One of Pantone's colors of the year for 2016 is pink (rose quartz). Pink represents compassion, nurturing, love and hope. I wanted to use photographs I haven't used on my blog but still find lovely. I hope you enjoy.

The combination with the silver of dusty miller accentuates the cheerful qualities that pink brings to a garden planting.

Albert Henry Munsell (1858 – 1918) was an American painter, teacher of art, and the inventor of the Munsell color system. Through his  research and the development of his system we can better undertstand color.

Josef Albers (1888 – 1976) took Munsell's theory further when he taught about the interaction of colors.

Doesn't Pink look good with white/gray/silver?

A new Lupine series from HM Clause in France is compact and floriforous. Lupines prefer warm, sunny days and cool nights.  Try planting in masses for the best visual impact. A memorable sight for any garden lover, these beautiful plants grow into well-established clumps, with several stems rising up out of a single base. The author, Tasha Tudor, loved lupines so this could be a plant considered for a Children's themed garden, with a special Secret Garden storybook area.
